Finer details of the partnership between U.S. Steel Corp. and Japan’s Nippon Steel Corp. remained elusive Friday after President Donald Trump touted the deal as a “blockbuster” agreement worth more than $14 billion in investments — while also announcing he will double U.S. tariffs on steel imports to 50%.
